Linkages

Well, it finally happened. A link to this blog can now be found on another blog. I guess Analog Man and I are on our way to the big-time.

I first knew the owner (author?) of the said blog when she was a very little girl. Our fathers worked together for many years. I have not seen her since she was....well it has been some time. I have been keeping up with her third-hand since. In fact it was an off-hand remark by her father over lunch last summer that she had a blog that first stirred my interest in this whole enterprise.

She has recently moved back to Virginia after living for a number of years in New York City. From our common rural Virginia perspective that alone puts her in the Exotic Jeopardy category. Now I can keep up with her without going through our mothers.

Her new blog is much more sophisticated than mine, probably a result of those years "up north." Actually, now living in the paved part of Virginia seems rather "up north" to me, given where I am. Maybe one day I'll graduate to Typepad or Movable Type. Maybe one day I'll get to see her and her sister again. Until then we have our blogs.
