My Favorite Blogs, An Update

Several blogs, and bloggers, I enjoy deserve special note.

Chris at Locust Street has completed his series on the Seven Deadly Sins. They are wonderful reads, certainly better than any musings I would have.

Sue's nycdilettante continues to add interersting content and features. This site is starting to look crude by comparison.

And Jesse of Travels with Maureen, Jesse and Abby, along with other members of his family, has started a "blogazine" (sorry Jesse). It is truly wonderful, an example of this new electronic medium at its best. I invite you to join me from time to time visiting at butternoparsnips.

Thank you for the plug! Here's hoping we can live up to it. And we'll happily accept the term blogazine (if for no other reason than it sounds better than, say, "magazlog.") PS to Malindi: The mechanical eye is from an old doll. It set me back a buck or so in a flea market yrs ago, and I've been looking for something to do with it ever since. --JP

ps we've put in a link back to your site. I hope you don't mind--it incorporates a piece of the cowboy image:

I am honored to be included on your friends page. Would the photographer in you like a less grainy singing cowboy photo to work with?

NO! the pic on Jesse's website looks great, dad. it's abstract - don't change it for a million bucks (unless i get half ;)

whoops! Didn't mean to cause trouble fiddling with it.

:)

Seriously: I'll gladly adjust if that's what you prefer.

As usual, my daughter has the last word. If she would not change the little buckeroo for a million bucks - and you are pleased - then I am "down with that." :)

I've been scrambling to save my pennies over here, and can't quite get to a million $$ ... so if it's truly cool with you I think the little pardner stays somewhat grainy?

:)

Anyway, we need as much of that good old fashioned analog noise as we can get in this, our increasingly pixellated world.

Not that I'm a Luddite ...
